Internal Evaluation (OMEA/MODIP)
The internal evaluation of the Postgraduate Programme in Breast Diseases is conducted annually by the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), within the framework of the University's Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), in cooperation with the Internal Evaluation Group (OMEA) of the School of Medicine. The evaluation focuses on the relevance and currency of course content in relation to the latest research developments in the field, student workload, academic progress and completion of studies, as well as student satisfaction with the curriculum, support services and learning environment. Students, teaching staff, administrative and technical personnel, and members of the Coordinating Committee participate in the evaluation process. Particular emphasis is placed on the course evaluation questionnaires completed by students each semester.
The evaluation results are reviewed by the Programme Director and the Coordinating Committee, in cooperation with the Programme's teaching and administrative staff, before the annual objectives are established. This ensures that improvement measures are incorporated into the objectives for the following academic year. Developments in the relevant scientific field and the labour market are also taken into account when assessing the findings. Where amendments to the curriculum are deemed necessary, the Coordinating Committee prepares a proposal for submission to the Assembly of the School of Medicine. The evaluation results, adopted changes and new objectives are communicated to all relevant stakeholders and published on the Programme's website.
