Appeals & Complaints

The Postgraduate Programme in Breast Diseases regards student complaints and appeals as opportunities for the continuous improvement of its educational and administrative services. Students are encouraged to freely express any concerns or issues they may have. Each complaint or appeal is reviewed individually through a clearly defined procedure comprising specific stages and deadlines.

Stages of the Procedure

The following procedure applies to complaints and appeals other than those concerning the ranking of applicants during the admissions selection process or matters relating to resit examinations, which are handled in accordance with their respective established procedures.

  1. Academic Advisor: The student should initially contact their Academic Advisor. Within a maximum of one week, the Academic Advisor must either resolve the issue or initiate the necessary steps towards its resolution, keeping the student informed accordingly.
  2. Coordinating Committee: If the issue remains unresolved, the student may refer the matter to the Coordinating Committee by completing the Complaints and Appeals Submission Form, with a copy sent to their Academic Advisor. Within a maximum of one week, the Committee must either resolve the issue or initiate the necessary steps towards its resolution. The Director of the Postgraduate Programme informs the student, either in writing or verbally, of the actions taken and decisions made. The Committee may, at its discretion, invite the student to a hearing.
  3. Assembly of the School of Medicine: If the issue remains unresolved, the student may refer the matter to the Assembly of the School of Medicine by submitting a written request to the School's Secretariat, with copies sent to their Academic Advisor and the Coordinating Committee.
