Study Regulations and Code of Ethics

The operation of the Postgraduate Programme in Breast Diseases is governed by a published regulatory framework, which is publicly accessible to all:

•Postgraduate Programme Regulations (Government Gazette 2448/Series B/2024): governs the overall academic and administrative organisation of the Programme.

•Regulations on Studies, Practical Training, Mobility and Academic Assignments: sets out the procedures governing students' academic progression, from enrolment to the award of the degree.

• Academic Advisor Regulations and Student Complaints and Appeals Regulations: ensure continuous student support and the protection of students' rights.

•Special Regulations on E-Learning: governs distance learning and assessment.

For matters not specifically addressed by these regulations, the NKUA Regulations on Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies apply.

Research Ethics and Integrity

Master's theses must be original, and all forms of plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Research involving human participants, human-derived biological materials or personal data, including health data, is governed by the Regulations on the Principles and Operation of the Research Ethics and Deontology Committee (REDC) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

Where a Master's thesis falls within this category, an application must be submitted electronically to the Research Ethics and Deontology Committee (REDC), signed by the thesis supervisor. Data collection may commence only after approval has been granted. Approval by the REDC does not replace any additional authorisations that may be required from other competent authorities or institutions.
