Teaching Faculty

The MSc Programme in Breast Diseases brings together specialists from the disciplines involved in the diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive management of breast conditions. The teaching faculty includes breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, breast radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists, as well as specialists in genetics, psychiatry and nursing.

Teaching session of the MSc Programme in Breast Diseases

The core teaching faculty comprises academic staff of the NKUA School of Medicine. The Programme also draws on professors from other universities in Greece and abroad, together with distinguished experts with relevant clinical or research experience. All teaching appointments comply with the Programme Regulations and applicable legislation.

Course Organisation

Academic and educational responsibility for each course is divided between two distinct roles:

Coordinating Committee Member Responsible for the Course:

Provides overall oversight of the course, ensures that its syllabus meets the Programme’s learning objectives, and monitors the delivery of teaching.

Course Coordinator:

Coordinates the academic content of the course, determines the structure and sequence of its thematic units, and coordinates individual lecturers to ensure coherent and comprehensive coverage of the subject.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities include:

Delivering courses and seminars.
Supervising and training students during clinical placements.
Supervising postgraduate dissertations.
