Who Can Apply
The Master’s Programme in “Breast Diseases” accepts applicants holding a first-cycle degree from a Greek university or an equivalent, recognised higher education institution abroad, who fall into one of the following categories:
Medical Graduates: Holders of a degree in Medicine.
Health and Biological Sciences Professionals: Graduates of relevant health professions and biological sciences programmes, provided that they are legally eligible to undertake postgraduate studies.
Applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies but have not yet received their degree certificate may apply by submitting an official certificate of completion of studies.
Certified proficiency in English at Proficiency level is also required.
Important – Qualifications Obtained Abroad
For applicants holding qualifications obtained abroad who do not provide a certificate of recognition from the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Centre (DOATAP), the verification procedure stipulated in the Programme Regulations applies.
A committee appointed by the Assembly of the School of Medicine verifies whether the awarding institution or the type of qualification is included in DOATAP’s National Registry of Recognised Foreign Higher Education Institutions.
For institutions falling under Article 307 of Law 4957/2022, an additional certificate confirming the place of study is required. This certificate must be sent directly by the foreign university.
A qualification obtained through studies undertaken wholly or partly in Greece is not recognised. An exception applies where the relevant part of the studies was completed at a Greek public Higher Education Institution.
Number of Students Admitted
The Programme admits a new cohort of up to fifty (30) students each academic year. This intake capacity is determined by taking into account:
The number of teaching staff and the student-to-staff ratio.
The available facilities, infrastructure and teaching rooms.
The employment prospects of graduates in the labour market.
In the event of a tie for the final available place, additional applicants may be admitted above the standard intake limit, up to a maximum of 10% (3 applicants), based on the Selection Criteria.
